We finally made it to the start of our journey. Sunday we were at Amy's for the last of her jobs list for J and dinner in the evening. Monday we spent packing up and clearing the house ready for our lodger. I packed the car up to make sure that it would all fit and as it did we were able to park it in Marion's garage for safety, (thank you Marion). Tues we left Kent going via Amy's for a sandwich and final goodbyes. Weds I spent at the dentist, about 2 1/2 hrs, and in between we were looking after Tom and visiting. Once I had finished at the dentist we went to Reading to see Joe. Thursday while Joe was at work we did a few jobs for him and sortd out dinner. Friday morning the adventure began and we made good time up to Great Haywood Marina our home for a few days. We planned to do various jobs on board, explore the area, while we wait for the last of our purchases to be delivered before we set off. In between jobs we've walked in the area and discovered a lovely NT house at Shrugborough. We are also planning to go to Telford and visit the Ironbridge Museum which we will probably do on Wednesday, my birthday treat, and we hope to visit a couple of friends while we still have use of the car.
